MAKEDA

Makeda is an architecture brand created for Ingrid Santa Rita, grounded in African and feminine references and guided by the dialogue between nature and contemporary design. The project was born from the desire to build an identity that reflects strength, ancestry, and sensitivity — translating architecture as a living expression of territory, memory, and presence. Rather than following rigid or purely technical aesthetics, the brand embraces organic forms, balance, and intention as central elements of its visual and conceptual language. Makeda positions architecture as an extension of identity: spaces that connect the natural and the modern, the symbolic and the functional, honoring roots while shaping new futures.

RESEARCH

The research phase focused on understanding Makeda’s architectural vision, cultural references, and creative territory. We explored African and feminine symbols, organic forms, and the relationship between architecture, nature, and identity — mapping how these elements could be translated into a contemporary and professional brand language. This process helped define the conceptual boundaries of the project, ensuring the identity would communicate ancestry, strength, and sensitivity without relying on clichés or purely decorative references.

DESIGN

The brand was structured as a flexible system, capable of evolving across different applications and communication materials. From digital presence to institutional materials, the identity maintains consistency while allowing variation and growth. This approach ensures Makeda’s brand remains coherent, adaptable, and relevant as the studio expands its portfolio and presence.

DEVELOPMENT

Development optimizes the website's performance by optimizing code, reducing file sizes, and improving loading times. A fast-loading website enhances user experience, reduces bounce rates, and improves search engine rankings

CONCEPT

Makeda was conceived as a brand rooted in ancestry, territory, and feminine strength. The concept draws from African references and organic forms to express architecture as a living language — one that connects nature, memory, and contemporary design. Rather than treating architecture as purely technical or ornamental, Makeda positions space as an extension of identity, where structure and sensitivity coexist with intention and meaning.
